FAQ

Questions about CompliantRx

How the platform works, how teams get started, and how we protect your data.

The platform

What is CompliantRx?

CompliantRx is the intake engine for DME suppliers. It turns a messy fax packet into a complete, ready-to-ship order, and pinpoints exactly what’s missing to get it there. Your team handles more orders without adding headcount.

What actually causes DME claim denials?

Most operators assume it’s a billing problem. It isn’t. Over 80% of DMEPOS denials trace to documentation failures, not clinical errors. The gap gets created at intake and doesn’t show up until the denial lands weeks later.

We already have document import in our EHR. Why do we need this?

Most document import tools bring the file in. They don’t tell you if it’s right. CompliantRx® checks every order against your payer’s current coverage criteria, pinpoints the gaps and writes the compliant record back into your system. Importing a document and approving a compliant order are two different things.

How does CompliantRx handle missing documents?

Addendum Intelligence® chases them for you. It drafts the cover sheet, faxes the provider, follows up on day 3, 5 and 7, and re-checks the order the moment the missing document comes back.

Can we customize the checklists to our payer mix?

Yes. Checklist Builder lets your admin create and publish coverage-criteria checklists for your products and payers. Changes are saved as a draft before they go live, and your team always works from what you’ve published.

What happens when LCD rules change?

Medicare publishes more than 540 policy updates a year. Your rules update as they’re published, so every order is checked against today’s criteria, not what your last specialist remembered.

Getting started

Which systems do you integrate with?

CompliantRx integrates with Brightree and NikoHealth. Clean orders are written straight into the system your team already uses, so there’s no retyping.

How long does it take to go live?

Two weeks for most customers. We connect directly to Brightree or NikoHealth, so there’s no new system of record and no retraining.

Do we have to change our workflow?

No. You can start with Review-First, where your team keeps building orders the way they do today and CompliantRx checks each one against your rules. Or go Full Pipeline, from first fax to ready-to-ship. Many teams start with review and grow into the rest.

What happens to our process when an intake person leaves?

Nothing. Payer rules, LCD criteria and checklist logic live in the system, not in someone’s head. New staff work the same process from day one.

Security and compliance

Do you sign a BAA?

Yes. We sign a Business Associate Agreement with every customer before any patient information is processed.

Is CompliantRx secure?

Yes. CompliantRx is SOC 2 Type II audited and built for handling protected health information in DME workflows.
